My Top 5 Leonardo DiCaprio Movies

Leonardo DiCaprio is an underrated actor, with a playlist of nearly only great movies over the years, like no one other horse. Not Brad Pitt, not George Clooney and even so he never achieved to win an Oscar. There are many great movies with him like The Beach, Blood Diamond, Django Unchained, The Great Gatsby, Aviator and Titanic.

5. Place: Shutter Island
The movie came out of nowhere. It was at a time in which Leonardo didn’t make a movie in a year resulting in releasing 2-3 movies each year from then on till his break. Shutter Island is an intelligent thriller that will fool you. Like in inception you won’t know the truth about what happened, just getting simply glimpses in possible realities. That’s interesting, that's great, that’s a Martin Scorsese movie.

4. Place: Catch Me If You Can
I will be honest. I dislike Tom Hanks and don’t get why anyone watches any movie with him. This one is an exception and that’s only because Leonardo is so great in this one. He plays a charming young man who dreams high and takes the risk to become a great person- actually a damn liar, but at least he is good in that role. Like Leonardo himself he plays several experts through the movie and deceives all the others in funny ways. A great, funny movie.

3. Place: Gangs of New York
One of Leonardos earlier movies about the rivalry of different cultures in New York, trying to get a new life in the new world. Leonardo becomes the henchman of one of the leaders and learns more about himself and the what's living is truly about. That means that he need to get out of this gang and that won’t end harmless. The movie is harsh and great, with many famous actors.

2. Place: The Departed
Another Martin Scorsese movie which is a remake of an older one, which I didn’t see. Good so because otherwise I wouldn’t be surprised about the story. There are so many great actors in there like Mark Wahlberg, Matt Damon and Jack Nicholsan. The storyline isn’t that creative with cops working for the underground mafia and the many deceits both sides. The movie is fast and gruesome till the end. Everyone gets what say deserve and many get fucked over. Happy Endings are nowhere to be found here.

1. Place: Inception
Inception is a movie like no other and will easily catch a spot in my top 5 List of All Time. Everything is perfect, from the intelligent storyline about dreams and the human psyche up to the performance of the actors like Ellen Paige and Leonardo himself. Nolan outdid himself and so did Leonardo. Its quite sad that he didn’t get an Oscar, but that the curse of him. He will get it one day, for sure. Till then I will love more of his films.

    1. Absolutely! maybe he gets one for Wolf of the Wall Street which he also played excellently even though Inception is his best so far.
